The band called "US" began in the basement of Paul Pitchuck (the lead guitar player’s house) with his friend Brad "bongo-head" Brown. Paul wanting to get back to some roots, aimed for the raw flavor of a non-traditional Blues/Rock sort of feel.

Paul was later introduced to Marlene Galloway and knowing we needed a great front person to be both entertaining and talented, Mar quickly proved she was here to fill that void. After a few weeks of playing around with ideas, we decided to complete this project, add a bass man.

Marlene called on an old friend, a bass guitarist from one of Marlene’s previous bands, Mr. Geoff Moorhouse. Geoff was anxious to meet and join in on the fun. We had our first practice and this was the official forming of the band called…...... "US"

At that time, Big Bad Brad got the itch for the road and left "US" to pursue his career transporting goods across Canada. Once again Geoff Moorhouse saved the day and introduced us to a sit in drummer, that Geoff often played with... Mr. Paul Watson and WOW! what a great sit in he was.

Our lead singer Marlene, also know as "Mar", "Legs" or "Lungs" grew up as a singer and valued center stage for entertaining. She was influenced by 70s and 80s rock and spent time in the country scene - and as if that wasn't enough, also found the time to involve herself in Musical Theatre for a while to expand her horizons. Marlene also writes and co-writes the bands original tunes with Paul. Not only can she sing, but her stage performance and energy is not to be missed!

Paul grew up in a very musical family and was influenced by playing everything from Folk, Rock, Metal, Classical and Blues from early childhood. Paul's style is all his own, proving this in his solos played on his 57' Strat as well as on his twelve string accoustic, often thrilling the audience with his original style and lightning-fast fingers! Paul also brings his writing skills and edge of your seat guitar licks into the original tunes.

Geoff known as "G-man", originally started his musical life with the piano and guitar starting at the young age of 12. Playing in numerous bands over the years, Geoff now holds down the rhythm section with bottom-end notes and a bass chording style that is his alone, making Geoff the perfect bassist/percussionist for this match up and passionately feeling the original music.!! You’ll know it when you hear it.!

Corey Jay Richardson AKA "Animal" has a pedigree in the music business having had both his father AND grandfather as drummers and continues the family tradition in fine form! Corey has played with many well-known musicians over the years and through his experience and talents has garnered the respect of many fine musicians and industry professionals. Corey is also a music teacher, does live and studio sessions, hosts jams and in his SPARE time (lol), is a photographer. Corey's drum solos ARE NOT TO BE MISSED and he is the perfect compliment to the rest of the band!

Currently we are completing the arrangements for the new originals and will soon be releasing our first album.
