The Blue Voodoo

Since 2000, The BlueVooDoo have played their brand of blues-rock at just about every possible venue in Western Canada establishing themselves as one of Canada's most sought after original blues bands.
They have received award nominations from the Toronto Maple Blues Awards in 2003 for Best New Artist and also received a nomination for Most Outstanding Blues CD at the 2005 and 2007 Western Canadian Music Awards for Sparkle and Shine and Back to the Shack cds and a recent nod from the Blues Critics awards in California for their Back to the Shack release.
After touring Europe for six weeks in 2006, The Blue Voodoo began retooling their band and spread the word they were looking to grow the group. Ted Tosoff and Rick Dalgarno, the original Voodooheads brought two new faces into the fold by adding Kelly Stodola on percussion and Gerry Berg on bass.
Kelly Stodola and Gerry Berg bring in a slamming driving style that elevates the magic of the BV Vibe. The new look Voodoo now has the engine to drive the group to the next level.
Watch out cause the Voodoo are on the loose!

Music
Back to the Shack
The Blue Voodoo's new CD is full of all those rootsy twists and turns that Blues fans love. However, in the modern Blues style of the VOODOO, ya gotcher horns (Paul Wainwright), Harp (Dave Hoerl) and more cool keys (Bry Tosoff) than you can shake a stick at. Not to mention (but we will), smokin guitar solos ( Rick Dalgarno), amazing harmony and lead vocals (Ted Tosoff & Ricky D) and we've added drums (Kelly Stodola) and bass (Gerry Berg). We mixed The Band, Muddy Waters, the Allman Brothers and a little Bob Dylan (with a pinch of Beatles) and got a nasty brew that will keep you coming "Back to the Shack" many times over.
