Christmas 2007 we decided it was time to record the music & lyrics I had been writing and playing for more than 15 years. I wanted to put my best foot forward so with a big bucket full of courage I finally approach a producer who I had been a fan of for many, many years. In the summer of 2008, Barry Haggarty listened, and together we made our selections and completed the arrangements. By Christmas 2008 after months of preparation we started the recording sessions at Haggarty Sound Studio.
"No Regrets" is my first album (CD) release as a singer/songwriter. It is a collection of songs that explores the connection between people. The result is a record that really expresses some my thoughts about the feelings that can come and go between people, often with a longing for the hope of something everlasting.

From the side of a mountain on the west coast of British Columbia, a new sound resonates off the waters of Howe Sound – it’s the voice of Karen Fowlie.
“An upbeat collection of feel-good alt. country / rock songs” describes the original music you’ll hear at Karen’s live shows. Formerly from Alberta, Fowlie is a veteran performer who has given live performances and festival shows since 1997. In 2005, Karen made the move to Sea to Sky country and established herself in the Vancouver scene.
In 2006, Karen was thrilled to work with one of Vancouver’s top producers, Dale Penner (Nickelback, Matthew Good Band, Shawn Hlookoff). Her debut CD “Pushing the Edge” is the result. Now distributed through Adagio Music/Ioda Alliance, it is currently available through iTunes.com and several other online vendors.

The Steel Toe Boots are a North Vancouver-based country group whose high-energy performances can transform the smallest venue into a frenzied house-party-like atmosphere, and the largest into a fist-pumping rock concert. Regulars on the Western Canadian country club circuit, their reputation for entertaining audiences and crowd interaction is a badge worn with pride. The band's childhood friendships translate into fantastic on-stage chemistry for dynamic performances that bring people to their feet and onto the dance floor night after night. The band's focus on entertainment and up-tempo songwriting seems to put smiles on people's faces everywhere they play.

Kingston, Ontario's Tom Savage Trio have been putting their own unique stamp on the Country music genre since 2007, when they began the process of putting songs together for their critically-acclaimed debut release, 'The County Line'. The result was the birth of what Bassist Geoff Chown coined "Dirt Road Rock And Roll" - a blending together of Rock, Alternative Country, Blues, and Jam band elements.
Four years of touring and four drummers later ( they are fast becoming Canada's Spinal Tap), the group has honed their sound, and are set to record the follow-up to 'The County Line'.
With the release of Tom Savage's fourth studio album, we are witness to the continuing evolution of an artist. However, there is an important distinction to be made between Savage's earlier solo records, and this new release under the Tom Savage Trio banner.
